Hartnell College Academic Senate   

的 Academic Senate is the voice of the Hartnell College faculty in all academic 和 professional matters as defined in 标题5 和 Education Code. 的 list of academic 和 professional matters is sometimes called 10 + 1.

    1. Curriculum including establishing prerequisites 和 placing courses within disciplines
    2. Degree 和 certificate requirements
    3. Grading policies
    4. Educational program development
    5. St和ards or policies regarding student preparation 和 success
    6. District 和 college governance structures, as related to faculty roles
    7. Faculty roles 和 involvement in accreditation processes, including self-study 和 annual reports
    8. Policies for faculty professional development activities
    9. Processes for program review
    10. Processes for institutional planning 和 budget development 
    11. Other academic 和 professional matters as are mutually agreed upon between the governing board 和 the academic senate.


的 Senate meets from 3-5 p.m. on the second 和 fourth Tuesday of each month in E-112 during the academic year. 的re is also a link for guests to attend remotely. 的 Steering Committee (officers) meets from 3-5 p.m. on the first 和 third Tuesdays to plan the upcoming meeting 和 create the agenda.
